BarZu, a Croatian born DJ, gets in contact with electronic music in 2003, when he starts listening to dj's like Carl Cox, Umek, V. Kanzyani, M. Bailey, Speedy J, Christian Varela & many more. He bought his first dj equipment in 2006, and from there to now he learned how to combine different genres of music in the best way. His genre could be defined as a mixture of Tech House and Techno. DJ's & producers like Jay Lumen, Stefano Noferini, Mark Knight, Riva Starr, Kaiserdisco keep influencing his view of electronic music.
He played at festivals like: David Guetta (Arena, Zagreb), Enter Music Festival (Ba?vice, Split), Electronic Carnival 2012 (Ljubljana), Collegium Spring Break (Rovinj), Hallowind (Fort Punta Christo, Pula) and clubs like: Temple, Pool Bar, Los Amigos (Monvi, Rovinj), Mojito (Rovinj), BBclub (Rovinj), LightHouse (Vodnjan), Euphoria (Zr?e, Novalja), Stereo Dvorana (Rijeka), Fun Academy (Rijeka), Gala Bar (Rijeka), Klub Tenk (Rijeka), Gruw (Rijeka), Guru Bar (Umag), Seven (Opatija), Lemon Club (Zagreb), Fanatik (Zagreb), Boogaloo (Zagreb), Magnus (Pazin).
BarZu shared decks with DJ's like: David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sander Van Doorn, Tom Novy, Umek, Kurd Maverick, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Maceo Plex, The Shapeshifters, Industrialyzer, Beltek, Daniel Portman, Billy Nasty, Chriss Ortega, Kenny Dope, Bodyrox, Hertz, Michael Mind, Bert Bevans, Luciana, Phil Fuldner, Homeafairs, Paolo Barbato, Mike Vale, Elyksir, Eddie F, DJ Ogi, D and G, Aleksij, Alen Sforzina.
In 2010 BarZu won the Tuborg Green Beat contest twice, with his mixes "Totaal FM" and "Tripp 2 Splitt", what has to be mentioned is that more than 35.000 people voted during the first contest.
Furthermore, for two years in a row (2012 and 2013) BarZu won the first 2 rounds of an interstate contest organized by Burn Studios, but unfortunately he didn’t make it to the next round (the prize for the winner was: Resident DJ at Privilege, Ibiza).
